Children of the poor in Latin America and the Caribbean (Inglés)

Children are over-represented among the Latin American and Caribbean poor. Almost 60 percent of children are poor, and about one-third of all children are in the poorest 20 percent of households. Poor children are increasingly located in urban areas, but rural areas have higher proportions of children in poverty.
