To limit the destruction of vegetation cover and to improve the living conditions of adjacent forest populations, Benin government has initiated and implemented from 2006 to 2012 the Forests and Adjacent Lands Management Program which contributes to the sustainable management of sixteen (16) forests, two (02) adjacent lands and four (4) reforestation schemes.
