This paper compares wages to labor productivity levels in Ukraine. The main conclusion is that while recent wage increases have allowed wages to 'catch up' with productivity developments, future wage increases in excess of the growth of labor productivity would hurt Ukrainian competitiveness. A separate look at productivity levels and wages in industry reveals that productivity growth has been faster and wage growth more moderate than in the economy...
