The project continues to make important progress in the implementation of Business plans by 25 Producer Organizations. The project is developing very interesting tools for the definition of "biodiversity friendly" production practices and is exploring linkages with the private sector and financial institutions, along with extensive South-South exchange activities. Verification tools for biodiversity practices were also developed and are being validated by the project. Activities for the broad dissemination of project results are being planned for the last trimester of 2018. 6/3/2018 Public Disclosure Copy Page 2 of 9 Public Disclosure Copy The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Sustainable Production Systems and Biodiversity (P121116) 6/3/2018 Public Disclosure Copy Page 3 of 9 Public Disclosure Copy The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Sustainable Production Systems and Biodiversity (P121116) Risks Systematic Operations Risk-rating Tool Risk Category Rating at Approval Previous Rating Current Rating Political and Governance  --  Low  Low Macroeconomic  --  Moderate  Moderate Sector Strategies and Policies  --  Low  Low Technical Design of Project or Program  --  Low  Low Institutional Capacity for Implementation and Sustainability  --  Moderate  Moderate Fiduciary  --  Moderate  Moderate Environment and Social  --  Low  Low 6/3/2018 Public Disclosure Copy Page 4 of 9 Public Disclosure Copy The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Sustainable Production Systems and Biodiversity (P121116) Stakeholders  --  Low  Low Other  --  --  -- Overall  --  Moderate  Moderate Results Global Environmental Objective Indicators PHINDGEOTBL  Areas brought under enhanced biodiversity protection (ha)(Hectare(Ha), Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 0.00 43,907.00 58,375.00 68,490.00 Date 30-Aug-2012 30-Jun-2017 30-Mar-2018 31-Dec-2018 PHINDGEOTBL  Producers applying biodiversity-friendly production practices(Number, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 0.00 6,822.00 9,059.00 13,150.00 Date 30-Aug-2012 30-Jun-2017 30-Mar-2018 31-Dec-2018 PHINDGEOTBL  Share of sales of goods and services produced under biodiversity-friendly practices(Percentage, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 0.00 21.92 21.71 24.00 Date 30-Aug-2012 30-Jun-2017 30-Mar-2018 31-Dec-2018 Overall Comments Intermediate Results Indicators 6/3/2018 Public Disclosure Copy Page 5 of 9 Public Disclosure Copy The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Sustainable Production Systems and Biodiversity (P121116) PHINDIRITBL  Producer groups participating in biodiversity-friendly business plans (Number, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 0.00 172.00 172.00 190.00 Date 30-Aug-2012 30-Jun-2017 30-Mar-2018 31-Dec-2018 PHINDIRITBL  Producers that complete a training program in biodiversity-friendly practices (Number, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 0.00 5,682.00 7,951.00 8,370.00 Date 30-Aug-2012 30-Jun-2017 30-Mar-2018 31-Dec-2018 PHINDIRITBL  Technical Service Providers (TSPs) are contracted and supporting producer groups (Number, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 0.00 30.00 30.00 31.00 Date 30-Aug-2012 30-Jun-2017 30-Mar-2018 31-Dec-2018 PHINDIRITBL  Producer associations that provide quality control services to group members are established (Number, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 0.00 17.00 19.00 27.00 Date 30-Aug-2012 30-Jun-2017 30-Mar-2018 31-Dec-2018 6/3/2018 Public Disclosure Copy Page 6 of 9 Public Disclosure Copy The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Sustainable Production Systems and Biodiversity (P121116) PHINDIRITBL  Business alliances with buyers for marketing of differentiated products are established.
