The artificial reef facilities are designed to support coastal fishing activities, preserve biodiversity and marine resources and are expected to be co-managed, with conventions signed between Ministry of Fisheries, and selected cooperative. This includes: (i) Supply of a set of blocks; and (ii) Immersion of these blocks in the sea in order to constitute artificial reefs for the development of marine flora and fauna. The reefs have been manufactured and were immersed during last summer. Reefs Co-management conventions have been signed with local NGO which also received several training sessions.
