No II. SUMMARY OF PROJECT STATUS AND PROPOSED CHANGES The project performance is satisfactory. WAAPP-Ghana has so far reached 875,920 beneficiaries (42% of which are women). It has delivered forty-seven (47) improved technologies (including crop varieties of cassava (12), sweet potato (6), yam (4), cocoyam (3), tarro (4) and many others in maize, rice and millet) to 527,790 producers (who are recorded to have adopted at least one improved technology) covering over 613,500ha of crop land. These technologies, in addition to making farmers more productive, help farmers to be more resilient to climate change. Mass adoption of these improved technologies could greatly enhance productivity and transform agriculture in Ghana. The Ghana Program is almost fully disbursed, with current disbursement at 99.87% (as of October 13, 2017). The proposed restructuring is for the extension of the Closing Date for the IDA credit 5130-GH by six (6) months from December 31, 2017 to June 30, 2018. This is necessary to allow a few remaining activities to be fully completed while also ensuring that the existing project team can facilitate the preparation of the West Africa Agricultural Transformation Project (WAATP) which is expected to be presented to the World Bank Board of Directors for approval by May 2018. The extension has been proposed by the Client, and appraised and recommended by the task team. The team is satisfied with the feasibility of the Work Plan and Budget (action plans) that would result in the successful implementation of the Project within the newly proposed time frame. III.
