The formalization of Jordanian home-based businesses (HBBs) is ongoing and that of Syrian HBBs has started thanks to legal support from UNHCR. The majority of formalized HBBs are led by women (Jordanians and Syrians), showing that this type of business is a good vehicle for women economic empowerment. The other aspects of the project - decent work, investment climate reforms, trade facilitation and investment promotion - are progressing very well, on track or ahead of the targets.
