The contactor is waiting for the 1. delivery the remaining equipment and accessories scheduled for early October to finalize the works. An increase in disbursements is expected as works progress and equipment and accessories are delivered. There have been savings under the works contract. LWSC has started a detailed review of its non-revenue water performance and completed a non-revenue water strategy, including advanced work on the creation of District Meter Areas (DMAs). The setup of DMAs is contingent on the approval of the proposed designs and the end of the rainy season. The additional customer care center at the Fiamah site has been completed on August 28, 2018 and is now operational. A Consultant was hired to supply and install the IT system which includes monitoring of the customer complaints management, the mobile technology meter-reading system, and the customer database An additional financing of USD 30 million has been approved to increase the project’s development effectiveness and improve Monrovia’s urban water supply.
