This will be achieved by improving the quality and reach of services for GBV survivors through a helpline, promoting greater awareness among key stakeholders and strengthening the capacity of National Women Commission (NWC). Mapping of GBV service providers has been successfully carried out and completed; this will help the operators, service providers, clients and donors to get information about all the GBV service providers in Nepal. The helpline has also helped in bringing together GBV response service providers like Police, OCMC including CSOs in the areas of shelter, legal services, mental health services and child services. Capacity building training has been provided to helpline staff, CSO partners and external 5/7/2019 Page 1 of 5 Public Disclosure Copy Public Disclosure Copy The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Integrated Platform for Gender Based Violence Prevention and Response in Nepal (P155096) partners in areas such as mediation, providing GBV sensitive services. Quality has been ensured through the development of scripts, training manual for youths on ‘Gender and GBV’, client survey, checklists for safety planning. NWC has also been carrying out awareness program on "Gender and GBV" through orientations in schools and colleges as well as public hearings in various communities. In addition, they have also been disseminating information about the Helpline and the services available through the Helpline. All these cases referred to the 4 partner CSOs and other linked referral are single counted. Overall Comments Before the review of the Case Management System (CMS), cases were counted on client basis rather than the number of services received by the client. Further, given most people reporting incidents of GBV recieve at least information services then arguably the intermediate results indicator - GBV survivors reporting incident who received at least one relevant service through the helpline- is close to 100%. This makes this indicator somewhat meaningless. We are in the process of revising the result framework which will be part of the further planned restructuring.
