The project's objective is to improve economic opportunities for individuals and firms in the West Bank and Gaza. The Trust Fund Grant Agreement and Disbursement Letter were signed by the Palestinian Minister of Finance and Planning and the World Bank Country Director on July 16, 2018. The project will be made effective once a set of four conditions have been met. Two conditions have been met, while the third condition which is adoption of the Project Operations Manual is partially met, and the fourth--signing of the Implementation Agreement between the Project Implementation Agency (PIA) and the Ministry of National Economy is expected by the effectiveness deadline.
