Recruitment is underway for the project implementation unit (PIU) team of international advisers and national coordinators with the goal of filling all PIU positions by the end of December, 2019. A Program Manager and a Public School System (PSS) International Adviser have been hired. Given the multi-sectoral nature of the project, there is need to ensure all line ministries and staff understand their roles and responsibilities and that there is continued interaction and engagement of the Central Implementation Unit (CIU) in the Division of International Development Assistance (DIDA). ECD Program governance arrangements have been established. The first ECD Steering Committee meeting was convened on September 2, 2019, with draft TORs for Steering Committee and Technical Committee submitted to the World Bank for preliminary review. Further, MOHHS, PSS, and MOCIA focal points for the Technical Committee were nominated. 12/12/2019 Page 1 of 6 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Multisectoral Early Childhood Development Project (P166800) Risks Systematic Operations Risk-rating Tool Risk Category Rating at Approval Previous Rating Current Rating Political and Governance Moderate Moderate Moderate Macroeconomic Moderate Moderate Moderate Sector Strategies and Policies Substantial Substantial Moderate Technical Design of Project or Program Substantial Substantial Substantial Institutional Capacity for Implementation and Sustainability Substantial Substantial Substantial Fiduciary Substantial Substantial Substantial Environment and Social Moderate Moderate Moderate Stakeholders Moderate Moderate Moderate Other -- -- -- Overall Substantial Substantial Substantial Results PDO Indicators by Objectives / Outcomes To improve coverage of multisectoral ECD services IN00764192 ►Share of women who have had at least one ante-natal care visit by a skilled provider during the first trimester (%) (Percentage, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 34.00 34.00 34.00 65.00 Date 01-Nov-2018 24-Apr-2019 24-Apr-2019 31-Dec-2024 Share of women who have had at least one ante-natal care visit by a skilled provider during the first Comments: trimester (%) IN00764193 ►Share of children aged 0-2 years who receive well-child visits as per established government guidelines* (Percentage, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 0.00 0.00 0.00 50.00 Date 01-Nov-2018 24-Apr-2019 24-Apr-2019 31-Dec-2024 12/12/2019 Page 2 of 6 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Multisectoral Early Childhood Development Project (P166800) Share of children aged 0-2 years who receive well-child visits as per established government guidelines Comments: (%). *Well-child visits will be defined as part of the benefits package development and guidelines for delivery of the visits established during the first year of implementation IN00764194 ►Number of families with children aged 0-4 years receiving home visits from parent educators (Number, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 85.00 85.00 85.00 500.00 Date 01-Nov-2018 24-Apr-2019 24-Apr-2019 31-Dec-2024 Number of families with children aged 0-4 years receiving home visits from parent educators.
