The project has either completed or in the process of completion of a number of activities, which will be crucial in setting future pace of implementation. The completed activities include: physical setup of the offices, mobilization of the International Labor Organization (which will assist the project in the planning and management of the maintenance sub-component), and signing of agreement with a reputed educational organization for the recruitment and training of project staff. The key ongoing activities include: drafting of the Project Operations Manual and the initiation of the preparation of a comprehensive investment plan. However, its progress with regards to physical work is insignificant. It is expected that the completion of the initial activities will help kick-starting activities linked to the implementation of the physical works. The next six months will be crucial for the project as it will set the initial pace and will provide an indication of its likelihood to achieve the project objectives.
