This US$ 8.0 million project financed with grant funds from the Special Climate Change Fund incorporates climate resiliency in Government of India (GoI's) National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) and will cover about 12,300 farmer households and 650 villages in two states: Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. SLACC will establish a large scale proof-of-concept on climate-resilient livelihoods in these two states and scale-up lessons and best practices to other states in NRLM. It will specifically focus on multiple, locale-specific interventions on production, ecological, knowledge and financial systems that address the specific climate related vulnerabilities identified in livelihoods.
