In December 2018, a new Project Implementation Unit (PIU) has been set up within the Permanent Technical Secretariat (STP) of the National Nutrition Council (CNN), which in June became the Executive Secretariat (SE) of the National Nutrition, Food and Child Development Council (CONNAPE). The new PIU has been working towards the development of tools for community activities, local coordination and supervision, the development of a monitoring and evaluation framework, the recruitment of local implementing agencies (AEL), and the start of community by July 2019 in order to catch up with the initial delays incurred during the first year of the project. So far, the PIU is keeping up with the tight deadlines. Once the first regions start the community-based interventions, the focus can be on scaling up to other regions and governance strengthening. 8/20/2019 Page 1 of 7 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Multisectoral Nutrition and Child Development Project (P161770) Risks Systematic Operations Risk-rating Tool Risk Category Rating at Approval Previous Rating Current Rating Political and Governance Substantial Substantial Substantial Macroeconomic Substantial Substantial Substantial Sector Strategies and Policies Moderate Moderate Moderate Technical Design of Project or Program Moderate Moderate Moderate Institutional Capacity for Implementation and Sustainability Substantial Substantial Substantial Fiduciary Substantial Substantial Substantial Environment and Social Moderate Moderate Moderate Stakeholders Moderate Moderate Moderate Other -- -- -- Overall Substantial Substantial Substantial Results PDO Indicators by Objectives / Outcomes Improve early child nutrition and development through community-based interventions IN00733554 ►Children 6–23 months of age who receive a minimum acceptable diet (Percentage, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 4.00 14.30 14.30 14.00 Date 06-Jul-2017 04-Apr-2019 04-Apr-2019 30-Jun-2023 This indicator has reached the end of project target, which cannot be seen as attributable to the project, not even indirectly, as community-based activities have not yet started and the new data precedes the Comments: governance activities financed with project preparation funding.
