Steady progress is being made across the project activities. The project remains technically sound and includes innovative approaches to support livestock competitiveness and food safety that reflect international best practice. The project has continued to make good progress against KPIs. The project has achieved significant outcomes in increasing production efficiency of household producers through application of GAHPAs by which 65% of households involved have reduced the mortality rate of pig by 30%; 60% of households involved reduced the fattening time of 15% and over 50% of households involved have been able to increase the Page 1 of 9 The World Bank Report No: ISR15204 herd size by 15%. Most environmental and food safety indicators have been met. The implementation of indicators related to GAHP production has been achieved considerably. The majority of actions agreed during the MTR have been achieved. Overall, the project is assessed to be on track to achieve its development objectives.
