There have been encouraging advances under Component 2 (Indigenous Forest Management) with the number of sub-projects focusing on food security and agroforestry is on track to be delivered successfully. Under Component 1 (Native Land Titling in the Amazon), the first sub-component (Native Community Recognition and Registration) has seen some progress towards the ultimate target of 310 communities registered and recognized. However, the second sub-component (Native Community Demarcation and Titling) has experienced slower progress than initially foreseen under the implementation timetable.
