As a result, the rating for overall implementation progress has been downgraded to moderately unsatisfactory. Some of the main results include achievements include: (i) completion of flood line estimates for the entire coast; (ii) near completion of the works related to the Vedaranyam ecologically sensitive area; (iii) completion of the mapping of coastal sediment cells and sub-cells; (iv) substantial completion of the cyclone shelters in Odisha; and (v) the ICZM plan preparation is started in Gujarat and the procurement process in Odisha and West Bengal is ongoing. Page 1 of 7 The World Bank Report No: ISR16174 This along with the progress achieved in the knowledge and institutional capacity building activities, continued public and stakeholder engagement, and the support at the highest policy-levels suggest that the development objectives of the Project remain relevant and achievable, provided that efforts continue to accelerate. Continued efforts will be required to accelerate the pace of implementation, especially in the West Bengal state component, to complete the project activities and achieve outcomes in a timely manner.
