Under Component 1 (the main 100km road): Compensation was completed on the entire road stretch and all the 100km of the road handed over to the contractor. Measures put in place to address the social risks were found to be functional and satisfactory. The physical progress of works by Mid-February 2019 was 57%. 2. For component 2, the Physical Development Plans for 8 Urban Centres was completed and approved. Contracts have been signed for Batch 1 road works (149km) in Buliisa and Hoima Districts. 3. Under Component 3, very critical and complicated procurements for the Twinning Institutions was accomplished. The twining Institutions were able to provide guidance to the colleges in the key areas and Occupational Standards were developed. The new curriculum for all the courses has been drafted in both colleges. Uganda Petroleum Institute Kigumba (UPIK) has been accredited by City & Guilds.
