The Salitre Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) turnkey contract implementation is progressing on an accelerated schedule with an overall progress of 99 percent of detailed designs, 72 percent of physical works, and 50 percent of financial execution, as of May 31, 2019, compensating initial delays. Flood control works and river environmental restoration of riparian areas are completed, six multifunctional areas with a total surface of 203 hectares have been reserved and recuperated, and flood control protection standards with a return period of 100 years have been achieved along 68.5 Km of the Rio Bogota river middle basin, resulting in some 1.19 million people with reduced flood risk. The Biosolid Management Plan has been defined and is under preparation. The Project's disbursement ratio has reached 77 percent to date, in line with the agreed disbursement schedule.
