The main rehabilitation investments have been delayed because the scope of work were greater than originally anticipated, which required modification of the original civil works plans and approval of additional financing. Detailed designs for full upgrading of the entire 110 kilometer corridor have now been completed and award of the first two main civil works packages is expected soon, with work to commence shortly. Bid invitations for the remaining packages is ongoing.
