It is rated Moderately Satisfactory overall, based on the fully satisfactory progress in the key areas and delays in others. Progress of the activities implemented by Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) under Component 2 (totaling approximately $US4.7 million) were significantly scaled up as planned. The number of subproject proposals reported received (1,070) exceeded the expected number nearly by 200 percent. Progress of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) implemented activities under Component 2 (totaling approximately US$0.5 million) show minor delays. Progress of the Forestry Commission's Wildlife Division (WD) implemented activities under Component 2 (approximately US$1 million) is showing delays; of particular concern is delay in implementing high-value civil works in Gbele Resource Reserve (estimated value US $400,000). Key activities under Component 1, implemented by the Savannah Development Authority (SADA) progressed negligibly since the January 2014 mission. Project Page 1 of 6 The World Bank Report No: ISR16163 Coordination (Component 3) is rated moderately satisfactory, with moderate shortcomings in quality of reporting; follow up on agreed actions from the previous missions; and addressing of delays in implementing high-value activities under WD and SADA components. However, implementation of some sub-projects in the community (tree planting) could not start due to misunderstanding between the land owners and land users. The Project will report on actual area under SLWM technologies in this community at a later date. MoFA is working on resolving this misunderstanding and hopes to have these sub- projects under implementation in the next planting season in 2015. Land users adopting sustainable land mgt.
