The technical bids for the civil works contract have been received and are currently under evaluation by DFCCIL. The civil works contract comprises of approximately 60 % of the total project cost and progress in this component will positively affect the overall progress of the project. The pre-qualification for the systems contract is also ongoing. Procurement of PMC, SESMRC and QSAC are also in advanced stages. Land Acquisition process for the Kanpur- Mughalsarai section is advanced, with award declared for 98% of the 1,400 ha required. The procurement process for the Energy Optimization study has also been initiated.
