PUBLIC (Internal & External) SYSTEMATIC COUNTRY DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION NOTICE (DIN) Country DJIBOUTI Initiation Date May 30, 2017 1. The Systematic Country Diagnostic (SCD) presents a timely and evidence-based assessment of the constraints a country has to address and the opportunities it can embrace to accelerate progress toward the goals of ending extreme poverty and promoting shared prosperity in a sustainable way. Spurring poverty reduction and inclusive growth will be central themes of the SCD analysis, with concerted attention to issues of sustainability. The SCD of Djibouti is drawing upon all available knowledge base and envisages to undertake some new analyses along its hypothetic questions to draw a coherent prioritization. 2. The World Bank Group has initiated preparation of a Systematic Country Diagnostic (SCD). Consultations will be undertaken with interested stakeholders. The concept note ROC review meeting on the Djibouti SCD was held on May 30, 2017 followed by the stakeholder consultation mission to Djibouti from June 13-20, 2017.
