A range of activities have also been completed under Component 2, including delivery of a review of sea cucumber fishery management in Melanesia, appraisal of the Vanuatu sea cucumber management plan, production of a policy brief on beche-de mer markets prices; among others. All of these activities are aimed at strengthening regional and national efforts to improve management of sea cucumber fishery. Component 3 is also progressing with delivery of the first Pacific Ocean Program Fellowships training and commencement of key analytical work on: i) Pacific Ocean Bond; ii) Pacific Ocean Insurance; iii) Community-Managed Marine Area Finance; and iv) Taxes and Subsidies relevant to Ocean Health.
