It is expected that the Program will become effective once pending national executive and legal approvals have been completed. Indeed, the cabinet will consider the approval of the Program during March 2018, and we anticipate that it will be approved and subsequent Legal Opinion will be issued by the Office of the Attorney general.The World Bank is supporting the Ministry of Health in its efforts to strengthen implementation readiness, including the recruitment of required technical assistance at the central and provincial levels, and technical work to lay the groundwork for achievement of implementation-intensive Disbursement Linked Indicators (i.e. on nutrition, community health workers, scorecards, etc.) The first implementation support mission is planned from March 26 to April 6 to further advance these efforts.
