Segregated lanes projects in the municipalities of Rosario and Santa Fe (completed); 2 . BRT Metrobus project in La Matanza and Transfer Station Center in Gonzales Catan (completed) 3 . Multimodal Transfer Station in the Belgrano Sur suburban rail line in city of Buenos Aires (expected to be completed in 2019). The Project has also supported non-motorized transportation through the construction of bike paths in the cities of Tucuman and Salta. Technical assistance has also been financed to strengthen planning and data platforms for urban mobility planning and management in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires and medium-sized Argentine cities, like Salta, La Rioja, and Corrientes. Currently, the Project is implementing two Trust Funds: - “Greening urban growth in Metropolitan Buenos Aires” financed by the Korean Green Growth Trust Fund. The World Bank Transport Team is working together with the Urban Team to support the metropolitan agenda in the AMBA through activities that are focused in developing a Transit Oriented Development (TOD) strategy for the railroad project RER (Red de Expresos Regionales). The activities will include: (i) support to the design of the RER (ii) a note to define a TOD-RER concept (iii) support to the development of a TOD pilot project. The first phase of these works is expected to be finalized in 2018. - “Improving public transport, walking and cycling in Argentina’s Cities of the Interior: A look at Smart Mobility Solutions” Trust Fund, supported by the Spanish Fund for Latin America & Caribbean (SFLAC). The task team has been working closely with the Secretary of Transport Planning to develop useful tools for data driven planning including: (i) Using cell phones & High-Resolution sensor data to Understand Individual Travel Patterns in Argentinian cities; ii) Supporting Data Analytics of Automatic Fare Collection Data; and (iii) Quantifying Housing and Transportation Affordability in Buenos Aires. These works have finalized and a workshop to disseminate results of this technical collaboration was held in May 2018.
