The following progress were noticed: (1) contract for the Second Employer’s Project Management (EPM2) was signed in October 2019, and EPM2 key staff has now mobilized; (2) ECR reached completion status, with good quality of work; (3) works on Hiritano highway are progressing well, with completion of 10km (100%) rehabilitation, 23km (50%) of resealing works and 100 km (90%) compliant service levels of maintenance; and, (4) works on Hula road are under defect liability status. The Epo/Kerema and Bogia/Awar bids are being evaluated. The following activities are expected over by end December 2019: the finalization of the bid evaluation for Bogia/Awar and Epo/Kerema works, with obtention of relevant clearances and endorsement, before the contracts' award; and, the submission of proposals to use the unallocated funds before the project’s closing date, considering the time necessary to carry out the suggested activities (including procurement time and activities implementation).
