This was also the total amount of CERs delivered by the project from 2009 to 2010, as no additional CERs were produced in 2011 and 2012 because the baseline emission factor of Southern China Power Grid declined rapidly in the past years, due to (i) great addition of renewable energy power plants in Southern China power grid; and (ii) closing down of old energy inefficient coal-fired power plants and improvement in energy efficiency of existing thermal power plants. Three project monitoring reports, covering periods of April 22-Aug 31, 2009, Sep1-Dec 31 2009, and Jan01-Oct31, 2010 respectively, have been disclosed on the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to record the project operation and CERs generation.
