Implementation of modernization works of the secondary and tertiary networks at the Baghramyan- Norkert irrigation schemes are complete. Despite some progress made towards a resolution of non-operability of two schemes, the ISEP will achieve only partially achieve its envisaged development objective –especially with regard to energy savings. As a matter of urgency, the Government has been agreed to immediately set in motion an action plan, by which all outstanding issues will be resolved either before or after the Project Completion Date but not later than December 2020. Based on the assessed likelihood of success, Bank management will take a decision concerning a possible extension of the Project Implementation Completion Report by six months. 12/22/2019 Page 1 of 7 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report IRRIGATION SYSTEM ENHANCEMENT PROJECT (P127759) Risks Systematic Operations Risk-rating Tool Risk Category Rating at Approval Previous Rating Current Rating Political and Governance -- Substantial Substantial Macroeconomic -- Moderate Moderate Sector Strategies and Policies -- Moderate Moderate Technical Design of Project or Program -- Low Moderate Institutional Capacity for Implementation and Sustainability -- Moderate Substantial Fiduciary -- Moderate Moderate Environment and Social -- Moderate Moderate Stakeholders -- Substantial Substantial Other -- -- -- Overall -- Substantial Substantial Results PDO Indicators by Objectives / Outcomes Reduce the amount of energy used and improve the irrigation conveyance efficiency IN00788712 ►Amount of energy saved annually in operating the irrigation system (Gigawatt-hour (GWh), Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 0.00 14.10 15.00 36.80 Date 30-Nov-2012 20-Jun-2019 18-Dec-2019 31-Dec-2019 The energy savings attributable to the Project amount is 15.0 GWh per annum (3.7 GWh from Meghri gravity scheme, 0.86 GWh from Baghramyan-Norakert gravity irrigation scheme, and 10.4 GWh from Comments: rehabilitated distributary canal projects).
