The project team is making substantial efforts to compensate the delay in disbursement at the beginning of the project and demonstrates results. A total number of 411,048 poor and vulnerable people now have access to a safety nets system through cash transfers or cash for work in the regions of Adamaoua, Far-North, North, East and Yaounde and Douala. A safety nets system capable of identifying and targeting the poorest and a management information system has been successfully established. Accompanying measures for human capital and productive activities have also been rolled out and currently benefit 36,000 households. In addition to the activities that were planned through this intervention, an estimated 6,000 beneficiaries living in areas affected by the displacement crisis in the extreme North are receiving cash transfers for one year. The other 6,000 beneficiaries will be targeted very soon.
