This US$ 8.0 million project financed with grant funds from the Special Climate Change Fund incorporates climate resiliency in Government of India (GoI's) National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) and will cover about 10,000 farmer households and 200 villages in two states: Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. SLACC will establish a large scale proof-of-concept on climate-resilient livelihoods in these two states and scale-up lessons and best practices to other states in NRLM. It will specifically focus on multiple, locale-specific interventions on production, ecological, knowledge and financial systems that address the specific climate related vulnerabilities identified in livelihoods. The project management is under the National Rural livelihoods Promotion Society (NRLPS) in the Ministry of Rural Development at the national level and the State Rural Livelihoods Missions (SRLM) at the state levels. 11/14/2017 Public Disclosure Copy Page 2 of 8 Public Disclosure Copy The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Sustainable Livelihoods and Adaptation to Climate Change (P132623) 11/14/2017 Public Disclosure Copy Page 3 of 8 Public Disclosure Copy The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Sustainable Livelihoods and Adaptation to Climate Change (P132623) Risks Systematic Operations Risk-rating Tool Risk Category Rating at Approval Previous Rating Current Rating 11/14/2017 Public Disclosure Copy Page 4 of 8 Public Disclosure Copy The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Sustainable Livelihoods and Adaptation to Climate Change (P132623) Political and Governance  --  Moderate  Moderate Macroeconomic  --  Moderate  Moderate Sector Strategies and Policies  --  Moderate  Moderate Technical Design of Project or Program  --  Moderate  Moderate Institutional Capacity for Implementation and Sustainability  --  Moderate  Moderate Fiduciary  --  Moderate  Moderate Environment and Social  --  Moderate  Moderate Stakeholders  --  Moderate  Moderate Other  --  Moderate  Moderate Overall  --  Moderate  Moderate Results Global Environmental Objective Indicators PHINDGEOTBL  Indicator One: At least 50% of the targeted households adopt livelihoods with enhanced clime resilience(Percentage, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 0.00 0.00 0.00 50.00 Date 01-Jul-2014 09-Mar-2016 09-Mar-2016 30-Jun-2018 PHINDGEOTBL  Indicator Two: At least 50% of the targeted households demonstrate strengthened awareness and owership of adaptation and climate change risk reduction processes/measures.(Percentage, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 0.00 0.00 0.00 50.00 Date 01-Jul-2014 09-Mar-2016 09-Mar-2016 30-Jun-2018 Overall Comments Intermediate Results Indicators 11/14/2017 Public Disclosure Copy Page 5 of 8 Public Disclosure Copy The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Sustainable Livelihoods and Adaptation to Climate Change (P132623) PHINDIRITBL  Indicator One: At least 8000 farmers demonstrate climate resilient argricultural practices (Number, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 0.00 3,000.00 6,200.00 8,000.00 Date 01-Jul-2014 31-Oct-2016 31-Aug-2017 30-Jun-2018 PHINDIRITBL  Indicator Two: At least 30% of the community institutions access technical and/or financial support for climate adaptation plans thorugh convergence with Government programs.
