Running from April 2019 to February 2020, the Bank-Executed grant is financing activities in four components: (i) mainstreaming DRM; (ii) enhancing emergency response capacity; (iii) strengthening the legal framework for DRM; and (iv) fortifying the regulatory framework for the built environment in Kenya. For carrying out activities under components (i), (ii) and (iii), the Japanese firm Nippon Koei Co., LTD was hired from June 2019 to February 2020 and is working with the National Disaster Operations Center (NDOC) and National Drought Management Authority (NDMA) as the main Government Stakeholders.
