Most notably, the FADC (Community Development Support Fund), is expected to bring its long-standing experience and strong field presence to the project, while deepening its engagement with fisheries thanks to the project. FADC is involved in the project to implement component 3a, facilitating the development and implementation of micro-projects in the Page 1 of 5 The World Bank Report No: ISR14285 project pilot sites. Fourteen (14) project sites have now been confirmed, a multi-sector technical group has been formally established to review and validate community projects to be financed under component 3a. More recently, micro-project concepts were collected in the 14 sites and 22 micro-projects approved for financing. The latest supervision mission of June 2014 has Public Disclosure Copy confirmed that further steps have been taken to strengthen local capacity in the pilot sites, with the critical recruitment of community facilitators, the completion of studies to generate key information, and the conduction of training session to build local stakeholders' capacity. Further actions related to the development of management plans, the construction of small infrastructure, a study on micro-finance, and a study and pilot on aquaculture are about to start. The Bank insisted on the need for prompt implementation of these activities.
