SUMMARY OF PROJECT STATUS AND PROPOSED CHANGES The World Bank RCIP4 - Regional Communications Infrastructure Program - APL 4 (RI) (P118213) This project has been operational since 2013 and is entering its last few months of implementation, with closing date due on 30 June 2018. Both PDO and Implementation progress are rated as "satisfactory". An additional financing of US$7m is planned. However, in the event that this AF may be delayed, we would propose so go ahead with a simple restructuring to extend the closing date (by 18 months) and to reallocate the proceeds from the PPA. The main reason for the extension of the closing date is because it is unlikely that the works undertaken for the FLY-LION3 undersea cable, and the associated landing station, will be completed by 30 June 2018. The extension of the closing date will allow time for the full testing of the new cable, due to become operational in September 2018. The extended closing date will also permit time for the additional financing to be implemented. III.
