For construction of the new 300 preprimary classrooms in 265 schools, the first phase of 115 classrooms has been completed. For the second phase of 97 classrooms, 32 have been completed and the ongoing construction of 65 classrooms is scheduled to finish by April 2019. All 73 community child development group (CCDG) facilities have been in use. 457 out of a total 735 playgrounds have been installed. Refresher trainings for caregivers and teachers is being conducted regularly. The National School Meals Program (NSMP) continues to be implemented satisfactorily. The impact evaluation of the ECE program is progressing well. Early results from the midline are encouraging, showing a strong effect of project interventions on nutritional status, enrollment in ECE and learning outcomes of 3-5 year olds.
