The project development objective is to improve basic education service delivery and retention in targeted schools. This is the fourth ISR since the Project became effective. This ISR includes findings from the third implementation support mission carried out in October 2017. The ratings for progress towards achievement of the project development objective (PDO) and overall implementation progress (IP) are satisfactory as the implementation continues to progress satisfactorily as planned. The project has disbursed 35.32 percent of the total credit amount (US$9.01 million of a total credit of US$25 million). Progress has been observed under the Project’s three components. Strong communication and close monitoring at school level is needed to assure smooth project implementation.
