Project Performance. The Mexico GEF STAQ is performing satisfactory due to the progress in terms of PDO achievements, monitoring indicators, disbursements, and implementation. The project is making progress towards the achievement of its development objectives, achieving partially two of the outcome indicators: reduction of GHC emissions and increasing trips in public transportation in intervened corridors due to the operation of the Optibus Phase II in Leon and the construction of the Ecovia in Monterrey. Moreover, the implementation of this grant is creating institutional relations, capacity building, and awareness of urban transport issues in the participating cities and the federal agencies involved. Public Disclosure Copy This is also contributing to the achievement of the PDO. 3. There are projects under execution in the four participant cities, Leon, Monterrey, Juarez, and Puebla. There are also ongoing procurement processes in León, Monterrey, and Juarez. All projects are expected to be concluded by the end of 2014. The closing date of the grant has been extended to December 30 2014.
