Disbursement is at 35%. Implementation of project activities by all implementing agencies are well underway. The Project had a slow start, mostly due to the new nature of Project activities for the implementing agencies. These important activities are being carried out for the first time in the country and are now under implementation. Most of the major construction for DNCC, DSCC and FSCD have been completed. These include warehouses which will be used as centers for decentralized emergency services and will host search and rescue equipment that have been procured. DDM is implementing a training exercises and drills which will help in the capacity building of officials and emergency management response personnel, has been signed and activities are on-going. RAJUK has signed six of their major consultancy packages which will carry out activities including vulnerability assessment of critical infrastructure, risk sensitive land use planning, establishing the urban resilience unit, and developing an electronic construction permitting system. The implementing agencies are engaging with several stakeholders to support the urban resilience agenda, and the progress and results are shared through the agencies' websites and the national press. It was agreed that a restructuring would take place, including an extension of the closing date to April 30, 2022. The extension will allow reprogramming implementation schedule of training and systems development to allow proper time to internalize the results, and to complete construction of the URU building.
