I. PROJECT STATUS AND RATIONALE FOR RESTRUCTURING



       1.     The project supports the CSO in taking the lead in coordinating and implementing national household surveys, with a
              particular focus on the next nationally representative large-scale integrated household survey in 2016/17. It has two
              components: (i) training and fieldwork of the Household Survey; (ii) data processing and analysis of the Household
              Survey.
       2.     Current closing date for the project is May 18, 2018. Grant is 82% disbursed, with about $130,000 left to disburse.
              Project activities started on time and are on track. The training of listers commenced in October 2016, listing started in
              November 2016 and enumeration in December 2016. The survey was conducted for 12 months as planned, and was
              finished on time in December 2017. Data entry commenced on time, using computers procured by the project, and
              finished on January 22nd 2018. However, the analysis supported by the project is still on-going. The request of extension
              of closing date is thus necessary to complete the remaining activities.
       3.     Procurement is proceeding as scheduled in the STEP system, thus a revised procurement plan will not be submitted.
       4.     There are no outstanding audits for the project.




II. DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED CHANGES


  1.        Government has requested a six months extension for the project to allow to complete analytical and dissemination
            activities under the project. Data analysis commenced in July 2017, and started in earnest with the final data retrieved after
            data entry was completed in early January 2018. A key indicators report is expected to be released in May 2018, data user
            consultations will be held between June and September 2018 and analysis of a socio-economic report will be conducted by
            November 2018. No other changes are proposed.
