The project seeks to do so through 4 main components: i) identifying the Demand for Legal Services; ii) establishing a Legal Services Network; iii) promoting Public Awareness and Defending Legal Rights; and iv) project Management and Impact Monitoring Team. Up to date, the activities continue centering on the implementation of a virtual certificate (Diplomado Virtual Semipresencial) for Free Justice Services Stations (FJSS) volunteer lawyer of Huanuco, Iquitos, Huancavelica and Cajamarca. The certificate program finalized with the event “First encounter of volunteer lawyers, in Lima, to share different experiences and identify potential practices to be applied in other regions. Public Disclosure Copy During 2014 there were also some advances in the arrangements of the Ministry of Justice Call Center. Equipment and space refurbishment and upgrade were made, but the software purchase is still pending. The public hearings and census process was also finished during this time, accomplishing the objectives of coordinating and carrying out public hearings and census in seven regional courts (Huanuco, Iquitos, Huancavelica, Puno, Lima-Caraballo, and Lima-Villa Maria del Triunfo). The Project has disbursed USD $740,325.84. This represents approximately 2/3 of the Grant's total amount.
