All major consultancies have now been assigned and work on technical studies and detailed assessment and remedial design of the four pilot sites are in various stages of completion. Andhra Pradesh has undertaken Page 1 of 4 The World Bank Report No: ISR6705 multiple rounds of consultations with stakeholders, including public and private sector, communities and NGOs, not only to inform them about the project activities but also to ensure pre-requisite actions are taken as required for current and post-remediation pollution management and control. Two technical capacity building activities have been successfully completed, including the technical training on Cost Benefit Analysis of remedial alternatives and an international study-tour to the USEPA's Superfund sites.
